A little about this trip...

This has to be one of the more surreal-feeling things I've ever done. As much as I'd like to believe the opposite, I tend to be a creature of habit. While I'm up for exploring and trying new things, I tend to find myself stuck in a myriad of routines,  living the same old life - day in and day out.

One day catching up with some old coworkers I was told about this program called Remote Year and the opportunity sounded amazing - 12 cities, 12 countries with 75 fun, outgoing, intelligent people (no way I get in on). I put about zero work into research and just applied to the program on a whim. From there I went through a couple rounds of reviews and was accepted, my boss agreed almost immediately, I paid my deposit and next thing I knew I was leaving the friendly confines of the US to travel the world with 74 strangers, who I'm hoping will soon become my close friends.

I'll be doing my best to update this regularly to let you see the world the way I'm seeing it, provide some insight into what its like living on the adult version of spring break and to let you all know I'm alive and well.

Later USA, its been real. I'll be back someday. Maybe.
